LIKE a true premiership side, Coolamon lifted in the final quarter to dominate and deservedly win the Riverina Football League grand final with a 33-point defeat of Ganmain-Grong Grong-Matong at the Narrandera Sports Ground yesterday.

Playing before a crowd which paid a record $30,707 at the gate, Coolamon and GGGM were value for money with fantastic second half, forward performances.

The GGGM Lions - down by six goals at half time - went to three quarter time in front by four points only to see Coolamon take control of the game to win 20.12. (132) to 15.9. (99).

Coolamon captain coach Wayne Weidemann was calculating about the win "I knew we had the fitness to run on in the last quarter," Weidemann said. "We fell asleep in the third term and needed a jolt to wake us up - I gave it to the boys at three quarter time".
